8.30am   A peal of bells will ring out as there is a service in St Gregory’s Church to bless the Tour de Yorkshire as it comes to Bedale

9.00am   Bedale Hall Park stalls open, with a great choice of food and drink and the chance to support some local charities. There will be a big screen here and   

                the  main sponsors’ displays, including the Black Sheep Brewery tent!


9.05am   Watch the start of stage 1 of the Women’s Race on the big screens located in the park and on the Market Place


12.30-12.55pm (estimated) See the Women’s Race finish on Market Place


1.30pm   The Community “Ride the Route” event sets off from the Market Place (If you want to join in the ride email


1.40-2.00pm   Cycle parade to the finish line with decorated bikes ridden by Bedale High School and Mowbray School pupils


2.15pm Makaton “flash mob” to celebrate Bedale becoming a Makaton Friendly Town


2.30pm Music and entertainment on the finishing straight


2.45pm Watch the start of stage 2 of the Men’s Race on the big screens located in the park and on the Market Place


3.30pm Arrival of the “Ride the Route” cyclists


4.30pm Arrival of the Tour de Yorkshire publicity caravan


5.45 - 6.05pm (estimated)    See the Men’s race finish on the Market Place


7.30pm  Live music in Bedale Hall Park from the Chris Berry Band playing favourites from the 1960s to the 2000s. (When not on stage Chris is a Yorkshire farmer who also writes for The Dalesman and other publications.)


9.30 Fireworks in Bedale Park
